The company had posted a standalone loss of Rs. 19 crore for the corresponding period a year ago, it said in a statement.
NDTV’s standalone revenue also increased 47 per cent to Rs. 117 crore during the April-June quarter as against Rs. 80 crore in the same period last fiscal year, it added.
“General News continues to be profitable and recorded an Ebidta of Rs. 26 crore, an increase of Rs. 20 crore compared to the same period last year,” NDTV said.
The company’s other channel NDTV Profit/Prime posted a net loss of Rs. 11 crore during the quarter, it added.
Shares in NDTV, on Friday, ended at Rs. 87.45 apiece on the BSE, down 4.01 per cent from the previous close.
